We are a passionate team of artists who wish to bring our creative visions to life. We focus on human made creativity and passion for storytelling.

Founder / Director
Sav Skoviak
Turning his dreams into reality, Sav is passionately building the studio from the ground up. He started working on thicker than blood in 2022 and has been developing it since.
His queer and neurodivergent identities help push the passion into action with creating stories with those deep themes.
Producer / Showrunner
Amanda Esser
Being a storyteller at heart, Amanda strives to make voices heard and inspire the hearts of many. She joined Thicker Than Blood as a producer in 2025 and she puts passion into everything she does. As she continues producing and storyboarding, she hopes to make the world a little bit of a better place.

What made you start the studio?
Breaking into the industry is difficult, and with the current job market it can be very frustrating to figure out what to do. We started this studio because it keeps our passions flowing, even when the odds of the economy are against us. If we don't get hired to do what we want, why not just do it ourselves? What started as a passion project, opened the door to so much opportunity and we still have so far to go!
Is Thicker than Blood your only project?
While it may be our current project, our company does plan to spread out in smaller storytelling shorts in the future! The world that it is set in gives us vast opportunities to experiment.
Thicker than blood
What is it?
This animated series is a Gothic Fantasy, action, romance, that's aimed towards older teens and young adults. Each episode is estimated to be around 40 minutes when fully completed and there are 9 episodes in the first season. We are in the current stages of developing the pilot.
Our logline
As class tensions rise due to a human obsession, Clyde and Vex must either find their purpose or be consumed by the all devouring empire.
Themes
The themes in this story heavily focus on the dehumanization that the queer and neurodivergent communities face but in an abstract world with werewolves and vampires, and many other fantasy creatures. There are some tough struggles the characters face such as finding your purpose in life, class warfare, mental health, substance abuse, and loving someone wholeheartedly while accepting their flaws.

We are looking for passionette artists who are trying to also break into the industry!
We have the following positions open:
Graphic Designer
Qualifications & Requirements
Have graphic design experience in a professional setting. (school projects, contract work, passion projects, ect.)
Have knowledge of alternative and gothic aesthetics, terms, genres, ect.
Have knowledge of Adobe illustrator, or other related programs for vector work
Sound Editor
Qualifications & requirements
Has experience in a professional setting. (school projects, contract work, passion projects ect.)
Must know how to edit raw voice lines
Know how to compile sound effects to create an immersive soundscape
Knowledge of using adobe audition or other related programs
knowledge in foley art is a plus
Voice Actor
Qualifications & Requirements
We need a voice actor for our lead character Vex!
Has the range of a young adult male
have the ability to sound sassy and posh. (we may experiment with accents!)
must be able to have a wide range of emotion
must have good quality audio recording equipment (mic)
please submit a short monologue or demo reel showing off your voice acting
Concept Artist
Qualifications & requirements
Have strong conceptual design skills and the ability to match styles
Have a strong understanding of digital painting
Must have solid knowledge of perspective and basic fundamentals
Have a good knowledge of gothic and alternative styles (Victorian gothic, punk, juggalo, whimsigoth, ect.)
Scenic and Character concept artists are needed. Huge bonus to those who can do both.
